The return of Jonathan Woodgate?
January 24th, 2007 by Javi B.Jonathan Woodgate, currently on loan at Middlesbrough, has not discarded a possible return to Real Madrid at the end of the season. After more than 2 years plagued with injury at Real he has finally managed an injury free season and is in good form. With a year left on his contract, he may be called back to the squad at the end of the season.
“It was a great opportunity for me, and it’s not completely gone. If I had been injury free those 2 years maybe I could have helped Real win titles. It’s a chapter in my life that is incomplete, but you never know.”
“You can go to Madrid and be sure of playinig in the Champions League every year, be near the top of the liga every year and win cups…, or in ‘Boro’ you can build up and eventually win something.”
“I’m not sure what will happen (at the end of the season), but I’m happy playing here. I’m also ambicious and want to win titles, but we’ll see what happens at the end of the season. It’s not necessary to think about it now. If I play well it will resolve itself.”
